I have been photographing old grain elevators in the central U.S. and Canada for a number of years. They are fast disappearing from the landscape after years of sitting idle along the R.R. tracks. These old wooden structures stand out on the horizon in the flat lands of the plains, and are easy to spot from a distance. This particular structure was built in 1915 and is in Ardell Ks.
